What Matrix server do you use and why?
Throughout my time using Lemmy, I have learned about the populations of a bunch of different instances and have made accounts on several different ones based on what I find. However, I’m about to make a Matrix account and this is a whole new ball game. Which server should I choose/avoid making my account on? Does it really matter as much as it does on Lemmy?

Irc still. No matrix so far.
Why's that? Simplicity and low overhead? Or is it an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" situation?
Irc works fine, people I know are there, and matrix has always seemed too attention -seeky for my tastes.
Hm. Elaborate on that. I’m trying to learn more about the space.
