Across the entire world, only 20% of themselves find themselves in this category - so for this to be so high suggests that it's a cultural influence. I've had my niece say she was bullied in school for not wanting to claim she was bisexual or something - and this is in a pretty deep-red area. I'm sorry, but 50% of the population being LGBT is not anywhere close to reality, and is a pretty good sign that these kids are being indoctrinated.
I understand the need to be understanding for people who are this way, but the 'inclusion' needle swung so far the other direction that it's now convincing children that they are gay/bi/trans when they aren't.
Additionally, I've raised my children to take advantage of this and claim they are even if they aren't - for the purposes of scholarships and other benefits; since being in one of these minorities will see you with better acceptance into college, etc.
Globally, 7% say they are only or mostly
attracted to the same sex, 4% equally to both
sexes, 83% only to the opposite sex and 6%
don’t know or prefer not to say.
As other people have pointed out, yes, there is a cultural influence, in that there are a lot of places where you can't say that you have any attraction to same-sex people. Iran, for instance, or portion of Africa, where simply being gay is punishable by death. In more permissive countries, you're going to see more people admitting what the Kinsey report said >50 years ago: many/most people are not entirely, 100% straight, and the sexuality exists on a spectrum.
You do realize that colleges actually race-weight in admissions, right? Asians get penalized the most on their SAT equivalent scores for example, while black and other minorities have a boosted score for purpose of admission. This hasn't only been proven, but it's been verified by multiple universities across the nation. So yeah, using your own racism/prejudice against you is a perfectly moral thing to do.
🙄 doubt the last part, but assuming its true you're teaching your kids to lie in order to manipulate systems to get ahead and leaving less money / programs for those that actually belong to said populations?
