It's an office job vs blue collar work thing. Officw jobs have an expectation you don't smell too strongly, so morning shower, deodorant, a small amount of perfume/cologne in the morning. Blue collar work doean't have that expectation and the work itself is more likely to make you sweat, so it makes sense to shower after work and before living the rest of your life.
If you shower at night your bed stays way cleaner because youre clean when you get in it and then you're still clean in the morning.
I really don't get why there's two sides to this unless you shower twice a day.
If you get clean, and then get in bed and sleep until the morning, you ought to still be pretty fucking clean in the morning, otherwise you need to wash your bedding more often.
This kind of makes office cycle commuters blue collar in this scenario. You can usually escape the sweat in the cooler hours of the morning, but that 16:00 asphalt hell 40°C shit on the way back hits hard
I bike to work everyday and I think I'm just lucky enough that my sweat doesn't stink. Or at least people don't tell me that it does over the course of 10 years at my job in different offices
Hate that everyone gets a street parking pass, worth probably hundreds of bucks a month, but a supposed bus pass for me is MIA
This makes sense. I think I still showered in the evening when I was a kid/at uni though, so a part of it is force of habit/what you're used to. I didn't swap over to morning showers when I worked a sedentary office job either. My workmates must have thought I was super stinky.
