It's a joke. It's definitely meant to be Nightclub, but that's what makes it funny to confidently claim it's Fightclub.

If it were a fight club, they'd be perfectly dressed in... Pretty much anything, so if it WAS fight club, the guard is just being a guard. At least that's how I'd interpret their comment.
