HDR support looks to be a ways off.
kde plasma has it on the next release though, which you can already download the beta of.
Unfortunately the HDR implementation in Windows also isn't flawless and has some big issues.
Yeah Windows HDR is incredibly buggy, it breaks in a huge variety of cases, and is completely incompatible with screen sharing.
