An emboldened fringe of right-wing “manosphere” influencers has seized on Donald Trump’s presidential win to justify and amplify misogynistic derision and threats online.
It's not really semantics. The manosphere is a specific group of influencers, not men in general. It only seems like semantics if you don't know what the manosphere actually is.
A specific ring of misogynistic male influencers. Not men in general. If you generally struggle with nuance, maybe this example will help: all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. Same with the manosphere. All are men, but not all men are part of it.
What are you talking about? The manosphere is a distinctly separate collection of people composed of influencers and their followers who obsess over manliness and macho stereotypes.
