I think people ought to be to have enough intelligence to know that a statement like that can be true and at the same time, one party acts nakedly, unashamedly that way, and the other doesn't.

From where I sit the Democratic party was so afraid of an actual changecandidate that they neglected to have a primary and foisted a milquetoast pro-LE candidate that didn't do anything to reach their base and instead tried to court it's opponents supporters. So, maybe they're actually worse than Republicans, at least an R will tell you they hate you and want to take your rights.
