Cockatiels
- Tux Cookie Song
Like I said in the last photo, he's a clever boy. We've been playing all the youtube tielfluencer videos to him and he can imitate a few of them. Here's him singing the cookie song.
- Cockatiel fell and doesn't adjust his wing properly
My cockatiel took a fall from the top of the fridge and isn't adjusting his wing in place properly. This is relatively common for him given he is somewhat clumsy so I wasn't too worried at first, but it's been a couple of hours and by now he would have notmally sorted it out already. I'm having second thoughts and thinking that maybe I should go to the vet, but all the ones that treat birds are closed. Am I overthinking things?

- Marty lost his tail last month. Here's his current growth!
How Marty lost his tail:
About a month ago, we were evacuated from our home because of wildfires. I wasn’t home when the evacuation order was given. I wasn’t allowed to go home to get my birds. Police officers kicked my door in around 1:30am that night and retrieved my birds! In the scuffle, Marty’s tail was ripped out.
Here’s my previous post about their rescue, if you’re curious.

- Advice for a wannabe tiel owner
I'm thinking about adopting a cockatiel As of right now I'm taking care of a little sparrow unable to fly from a friend of mine It awakened some bird love inside of me, and I did find cockatiels really cute and easy to get
So any advice about them, on a daily basis, what should I know before hand, what not to do, what should I prepare for, etc Would be very appreciated, thanks!
- My beautiful Cirilla, enjoying the sun
Ciri was found on a neighbor's balcony one morning, after a night of fireworks, The neighbor called me, knowing I had birds. I picked her up and set her up in a backup cage, and began posting ads online and sending info to the local vets. After years of looking, I never found her owners. She has been bonded to me since the moment I picked her up, and won't leave my side, always whistling and wondering what I'm up to. She's the princess of the house now, and I wish her old family could know that she's being loved. ❤️
