  • Crazy rumour suggests Microsoft are preparing $16 billion offer for Valve
  • In 2022, Blizzard was valued at $60B and had a gross profit of $5.4B. Valve almost certainly had a gross profit more than that (Microsoft estimated $6.5B in 2021). $16B would be such a laughably low figure for the company, especially since Microsoft bought Blizzard at $70B (market cap of $74B around the same time). Not to mention how low-risk Valve's profit is.

  • Yeah, I knew that the staff was confused, it's just been several months since the bootloader app stopped working and with this news I'm starting to wonder if it will be available again

  • Asus only cut the PC department in July, and now the commercial department is also going to be cut (Asus Zenfone 10 is their last phone)
  • This is quite sad news. I feel like there isn't a phone other than the zenfone 9/10 that could be a valid option for me. I guess I'll just stick with this phone as long as I can. Hopefully they also release the unlock bootloader so I can download a new OS or some updates.

  • Why are there so few open source weather apps for iOS, compared to the very many that are on Android?
  • iirc, it costs $99 a year to be able to upload apps on the apple app store rather than a one-time $25 on android. Also, apple test flight or whatever has a limited amount of people who can use it, rather than just installing an apk on android. Apple's ecosystem makes it much harder for open source or small apps to exist for iOS devices.
