No, the EU council and parliament will just discuss it AFAIK. They are not bound to follow up with legislature, as thats still up to the lawmakers.

Je nach Beruf wurde Vertrauensarbeitszeit eh schon dazu verwendet, dass man sich seine Arbeitszeit flexibel aufteilen kann. Jetzt hat das ganze auch endlich ne rechtliche Grundlage. Ist ja nicht so als würden es insgesamt mehr Arbeitsstunden die Woche werden.

Yeah sure, NK is a total utopia. Especially like the part where it says "Workers are the owner of the means of production" as if they didn't have one dictator that was in charge without anyone really having a choice.

I really think Trump just wants some win for his ego and to present to his followers. I don't think he will keep asking for more money, or at least we will make it clear, that we will not go along with further demands. As long as the stuff were buying is needed here and we buy it at the normal market rate I think we should do it for economic stability

We will not do it out of kindness but since the US gov. doesn't understand how the economy works its better to save our economy for 50 bn instead of tanking it by letting tariffs stay in place. I personally avoid US products but the effects for our economy would be way worse if we don't reach a deal. Trump isn't reasonable and we rely on the US militarily to a certain extend. Let the toddler have his win since stability is what our markets need the most. Yes its extortion but we need to minimize damage. We are the reasonable and reliable ones in the new world order so the soft power the US loses is way worse in the end.

If Putin goes the person following after him will still not just leave the Ukrainian occupied territories. They might be more keen on pushing for permanent peace but unless the Kreml elite falls with Putin they will not be much better

Poor guy. Hope the government can bust him out somehow... Or better yet Erdogan loses this presidential election. Might be hard tho since Erdogan will rig it if it doesn't go in his favor.

I don't know why this is so heavily downvoted. Russia will not give up all the occupied land. That is just the reality of it. Unless Russia like collapses internally I don't see the Russian governing elite ever giving up the land they captured willingly. You could call an indefinite ceasefire and not official grant it to them but over time the new borders will just become more and more ingrained

Unless a major shift happens Ukraine can fight as long as it wants and more and more people can die. I don't think its currently and for the foreseeable future realistic for Ukraine to recapture all the land Russia occupied. Thats a sad reality and Ukraine should not be forced to give land away against their will but that reality will at some point catch up to them.

Yeah I agree. I went from Google -> Startpage -> Qwant and I've been getting pretty good results honestly. Couldn't be happier. Only thing bugging me now is them, wanting me to install their browser extension when using Firefox but I just blocked that with uBlock

It seems like the feddit.uk admins are currently reviewing this and thats why they didn't respond. They should've said they were reviewing it instead of saying nothing but let them issue their statement before defederating as well. Maybe you don't follow communities from .uk that much but others would miss out on stuff. I think its wrong to label .uk as entirely transphobic bc of this

Yeah honestly, I think saying trans women are not women, like that gatekeeping part is the main issue. You know, trans women aren't the same as cis women from like what they went through but they are still gatekeeping. Trans women are women. When you just say women without any further info people will derive that its referring to most probably cis women but this differentiation really does not matter. I think thats what the OP is arguing but who knows.

But personally it really depends on moderation style. I don't take huge offense to the feddit.uk mods not removing this. Its on the edge but if for example they don't have like gatekeeping rules about it then the other users should just downvote it. If it doesn't fall in lines with the rules then remove it but defederation of one comment is a lot if you ask me. But I get that they want to be a save space for LGBTQ+ people

Warning to anyone that thinks about using an external service to sync/back up images. Immich is NOT encrypted. You trust these people to respect your privacy and not get hacked, or you would have to just not care. Ente or Zeitkapsel are fully encrypted and decent alternatives you do not have to host yourself. I personally will self-host but I will never ever trust someone with my private pictures from my camera roll.

Immich isn't even encrypted AFAIK. I would never trust my data some stranger unencrypted.

Ecosia is worse when it comes to tracking and advertising tho, but their goals are most certainly admirable
