Unless I know the other person has the same intent to respectfully listen and try to understand rather than argue I won’t engage in any sort of political discussion. Polarizing opinions have been completely normalized online and it’s literally ruining society.
Took you long enough. We’ve put our lives in the hands of the US for too long, it’s made Europe complacent and now we’re so far behind. We could be equal to or greater than both the US and China, but if we’re honest we have a long way to go.
Surely there can be a middle ground.
I hate that I’ve been paying close to 150k NOK a year in rent for the last ten years but for some reason I can’t be trusted with a loan unless I make a lot more and save up something like 300k.
Except for the fact that I have a place to live it feels like I’m throwing money out the window.
Are you planning on going back once the ban is lifted? I’m gonna try to stay away.
I got temp banned today because I replied to someone and said that using ivermectin would probably kill them.
I’m done, so fucking done.
Hey, I’ve seen that episode of Black Mirror!
That is seriously dystopian. Wow, what the fuck..
Are there any companies working on something like that?
For me personally I’d like a 50-60 square meter apartment for no more than 2x my annual income. And I’d like to be able to get a loan with a monthly down payment equal to whatever I’ve been paying in rent for the last couple of years.
I can pay 12500 NOK a month in rent, but for some reason the bank can’t trust me to pay the same amount if I were to buy an apartment? Fuck that.
I mostly just use my PC for video games, movies and music production, so that hasn’t really affected me.
Regarding UI I think it’s been horrible since Windows 8. I really miss 7!
It doesn't really make sense for Canada to be a member of the EU simply because Canada isn't in Europe. What we could do is grant Canada a deal similar to what Norway has now. We're one of four members of EFTA, which are part of the EEA without being EU members.
I must admit that my knowledge of Canada is shallow at best but my impression is that its overall values align well with western European democracies.
Feeling "deeply concerned" seems like the extent of what the opposition in the US are capable of right now. Such a bummer to see this as a European, whatever happens in the US affects us as well, yet we have no voting rights.
I've been on 11 since before it was officially released. Honestly never had any issues with it, but I'm interested in hearing what sort of issues anyone else might have had? Are we talking about privacy concerns, bugs or performance issues?
