Honestly, these days I'd prefer advanced mtl to a shitty localization every time. Nintendo has turned me into a hard liner, working to figure out what the fuck a character just said is better than that character just not saying anything. I'm an old head, i remember needing to work that shit out, it sucked but at least it wasn't purposefully mangled.

Man i miss fanlations being the standard, they are so much better.

God damn the kids really don't know the difference. Anyways i use it less probably because I'm browsing Lemmy on my phone in-between other tasks, but maybe I'll start spicing things up.

Just s trainer, probably good enough to make money off it (considering i only play the good games; fan games with real difficulty) but I'm not down with all that responsibility.

Ads only work when you are searching them out yourself. Like, if i go to steam looking to buy a new game I'd be susceptible to a video game ad. And ads for established brands are complete wastes of money, I'm not gonna buy a coke because i saw an ad for it.

Now that i think about my first job was fucking wild.

My buddy was in a forklift taking some stock down and i was spotting, basically just hanging out and making sure no one got in the way. A few minutes after the normal time it'd take he thinks something is wrong and calls me to take a look (from afar) to see how fucked we are; the answer was very, the pallet was barely holding together at all, but i couldn't see a damn thing from my position. Before i could get back to spotting we heard a loud crack and the world went still, i imagine for much longer by him, and not a second later we had hundreds of pounds of foul smelling mulch everywhere.

I had a lot more there too; babysitting an old man that looked on the verge of death with no management anywhere to be found, moving hundreds of pounds at a time by hand, dealing with the best conspiracy theorist ever.

I've been bored everywhere else I've ever worked.

I feel like, if one contract falls through and your company is in shambles, it wasn't a very good company.

The old Netflix tactic of throwing everything at the wall and removing what sticks so they can throw more.

That only works if they don't have the Internet to fall back on. Once someone loses their support group they tend to glom on to whatever will have them, and if only bad people will have you you will become a worse person.
