Is Russia being imperialist? Yes. Is Russia committing genocide? No.
That's what I'm saying! It's kinda awesome how long things get supported in linux land!
I'm not knowledgeable on the conflict, but it seems that most ML parties hold the position that Kashmir should be allowed to decide its own future.
04/08/25 - CPI (Marxist) : "Full statehood and democracy"
10/17/19 - CPI (Maoist) : "Our revolutionaries, PLGA (People's Liberation Guerrilla Army) and other frontal organisations would go to Kashmir and help people in their struggle for independence,”
08/05/24 - CPP: “We remain steadfast in our support of the Kashmiri people’s inalienable right to self-determination."
12/04/19 - CIPOML (The international that APL is part of): "CIPOML also declares its solidarity with all the oppressed peoples and liberation struggles with primarily those of Venezuela, Iran, Palestine, Kurds, Cuba and Kashmir"
So you've basically got 3 separate ML tendencies here, and 3 of these statements are from parties that would be familiar with the region. Some of these groups have made more recent statements but nothing that contradicts anything they previously said from what I can tell.
I just meant after support is dropped. The CIP I think supports each of its kernels for 10 years? So whatever the last kernel is before they officially drop support will still be maintained by them for a long time. :)
The great 5th head of Marxism, Enver Hoxha. His legacy of bunker building will live on!
This is the next war that the US will start dumping money into, isn't it? :/
Probably a grain of truth in it. In the US, I've been told to shout my name at protests if I get arrested so people can bail me out. I don't believe people are getting killed off in prisons left and right though.
If anyone is actually using a 486 still, you can try using the kernels that the CIP maintains https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/cip/linux-cip.git They actually still support kernel 4.4
I'm very for used hardware, some of my stuff is dumpster finds. I just liked the thought experiment of replacing a hypothetical 486 pc with a brand new computer.
I saw the luckfox products on aliexpress and they definitely looked cool!
I didn't even think about those. That might be a good bet!
This seems like the most interesting suggestion so far. I'll look into those!
Glad you are enjoying it OP. What common drug (ie stuff most people have heard of) would you say its most similar to?
its purging time
Thank you. I remember back in the day hearing they didn't keep logs and figured "well alright sounds good!" and that was the end of it.
I'll give Proton a try when my current plan of Nordvpn ends. Didn't know Proton was open source either, so that's pretty cool! Wish I didn't get downvoted to hell for asking a question, but it is what it is.
What is so bad about nordvpn? What makes protonvpn better?
Been a nordvpn user for around 4 years now. If I need to switch I'll do it, this is just the first time I've heard it isn't all that great.
I've always liked compressing my own music instead of downloading a sketchy aac or mp3 online so I very much appreciate this. Can't wait until its up and running.
Welp, tried to tell the meanwhileongrad people that nobody here agrees with Nutomic. That was probably a mistake. 😭
Just want to say that a large amount of users on lemmygrad and hexbear have complained about this. This post was even added to the slop community on hexbear because, believe it or not, hexbear does care about transphobia. He was called out 8-9 months ago too. As far as I know he is banned from hexbear, but I might be mistaken.
Most ML parties in the US I've interacted with have been pro trans. CPUSA, PSL, FRSO, APL, (to name a few) are all supportive of trans people.
Y'all are free to criticize tankies to your hearts content, but Nutomics views on this topic do not represent the views of most of the tankies you've interacted with on lemmy.
