  • See, now we just need a graphics guru and probably a sound person and we can have something going!

    Maybe a biologist as well?

  • Don't really remember the music, I'll have to look it up.

  • It was so satisfying to manage to get the family to move out of their house because of all the ants too!

  • I think I still might have the box and the book laying around somewhere!

  • I'll second Security Now!

Listened to it for years but kind of lost track when I stopped having to commute. Kind of miss it really but I don't find as much time for podcasts these days sadly.

  • I have to say, that is extremely cool!

I doubt I'd use it myself but I can definitely see the need for something like this.

  • It's a hard quality to keep, things were new and exciting back then. We've seen so many games by now that there's not much left to impress. How often does something truly new and ground breaking actually come around?

That's not saying that there's no good games any more, there are but most of them are spins on something that's already been done.

But yeah.. that sense of wonder and excitement, it's a precious thing.

  • I do that too. Especially with books. Start doing research for something new to read.. finally settling on something that sounds really good.

Only to find I've already gone through that exact process and bought the book a few years back but never actually read it.

  • That's pretty neat!

  • Haha never heard of that one!

  • Maxis were pretty impressive back then! Pioneers really.

  • Yeah.. it's playable in the browser on a bunch of places and probably easily available as abandonware as well. But yeah, it's sad how few old games are available for actual purchase.

  • My thoughts exactly!

  • Interesting, going to have to check it out!

  • Very true. :)

There's a bit of gore in there too, not much, but still.

  • It Takes Two is a great co-op (no singleplayer) game where you play two parents who are going to a divorce when they are turned into two dolls and need to find their way to their daughter while getting across their yard and house.

It's really fun for couch co-op!

  • Yeah, it has its downsides. zsh with some addons is probably better overall. Or if you're at least aware of it's differences from bash and can work with that.

  • I'll try to remember to report back when I've finished it and let you know what I think!

  • Stray!

And I did get it from the Steam sale.

It had been on my radar for quite some time. Partly because it's gotten such great review and partly because it's from Annapurna, they seem to release pretty sweet games.

And it's great! Highly recommended. :)
