Lol, when I moved the most recent pihole version had just got released so I wanted to check it out. I have pihole service my IoT network and 3 adguard->unbound instances setup for my main network for fallbacks 🤣.
But yeah I hate ads/trackers with a burning passion as you can see hahaha
Yep you can self-host findmydevice anywhere. Personally, I deployed it on fly.io as I don't expose my local network to the internet for security reasons
Yeah I've seen these around since about 2020. Really nasty stuff and i have no clue how this hasnt been stopped by apple/google.
Anyone know of a way to detect if anyone on your network has been infected? I guess monitoring bandwidth usage? Could an IPS/IDS also catch something like this?
Subs/communities for actively watched shows. I find myself needing to browser redlib for insights on, most recently, the white lotus and the last of us
Storage is cheap whwn it comes to webhosting and 3 replicas is honestly not much when it comes to enterprise standards. I think cloud storage providers like backblaze keep something like 9 copies of data across different mediums
Got conduwuit set up super easily, appreciate the write up as it appears the lead dev took down the documentation site!
One thing I noticed about your wiki was that I don't think there was an explanation of how to get into the admin panel on first run. I got there by pressing Ctrl + c on Debian.
This is why I don't use raspberry pis and just opt for mini PC's these days. Price per unit is too high and then failure rate of SDs is also too high.
I keep a couple around, but I highly doubt I'll ever buy one again
