Sony will gradually cease production of optical disc storage media products, including Blu-ray discs
  • Good point, wonder if anyone will start selling movies on USB drives, or micro SD cards in stores. The flash memory they use has come down so much in price that I could see it being cheaper than manufacturing bluray discs because you're the only one still making discs, vs flash memory where everyone is still manufacturing for storage, removable media, etc.

  • Touch Friendly Distro Recommendations
  • I know you mentioned you have access to touch screens, so you wanted to use an on screen keyboard to do this, but just an FYI:

If it would suite you better for this, or you get caught in a bind, you can use KDE connect to use your phone as a keyboard/mouse on a remote computer on the same network. Its not a great solution to use for normal computer usage, but as you said if you only have to do this once in a while to rename a file or do something simple infrequently, it could be an option.

  • T-Mobile users thought they had a lifetime price lock—guess what happened next
  • Yup, they got me. Signed up for "price for life" fiber for $65/m, didn't take a screenshot so i have no proof. 2 years later, nothing change contract wise, but now my bill is $85/m and I can't fight it, again no proof. They were extremely careful to not have price for life branding on anything after you signed up, no email, no bill, no messages, nothing. Fuck Centurylink.

Now they're trying to get me to switch to Quantum Fiber which apparently is still Centurylink, and the carrot or stick they're using is the price for life rate at Quantum Fiber.. Why would I trust a price for life promo when you reneged on the last price for life promo, in less than a year?

    Again, Fuck Centurylink.
