  • does the attacking country ever care about the lagality of an attack?

  • facebook and google are also hated. Just not by the government.

  • as in how? using it for ads? Ok. And apple shares it with the chinese government in china. Unlike Google.

  • apple tracks as much data as google does. It just isnt as open in saying that. But its commonly not known.

Anyhow. Both suck hard. Atleast on Android though, you can go without google.

  • google and samsung suck just as much. Custom rom's for the win. Besides on Android at least you dont have to use a google account and can use aurora store or apks. And you can easily set a filter to not allow any apps or system apps to use internet.

  • i dont think ipads are the best. Samsungs tablets since the tab s7 do great. Have it for four years now heavily in use in school and university. Sideloading all the shit i want.

  • well. companies will do every thing that is legal in order to make the most money possible. doesnt have to do anything with feelings or trends

  • then again, theres no reason to buy apple in the first place. so why does this even matter

  • There needs to be more laws and regulations. In this system, companies will use every legal way to make as much money as possible. This is especially true for public companies.

  • well kinda feel sorry for ya that your job requires excel or any of that office trash. Obviously doesnt work out for you then.

I run mint for some years on desktop and about a year on laptop now. I dont have any issues on either and it just feels good booting into them. I never once had the urge or need to go back to windows. And i think this is true for many people.

And the terminal is just sth thats at its core. If you dont want to learn it then a system like that isnt for you. In all reality, if one learns its, it is much easier than using three different windows setting interfaces with bloat popping up everywhere. Installing software in linux easy. In windows navigate through twenty ads or visit a poor store.

Or windows having a mix of consoles/powershells and more shit nowadays with different command namings. In Linux. Its just sinple terminal. Not to mention command prompt and its siblings taking four+ seconds to open on a new decent windows pc. Wtf?

imo windows bloat makes it unusable. The skill required to learn terminal basics is far smaller than learning all that windows shit.

  • Can't beat samsung's implementation with sound assistant. It lets you put individual volumes for each app. You can even allow two or more music apps to play at the same time. For example a game and music. It also allows you to customize the volume panel as far as you want, such as position, theme etc. Not to mention you can also output to two bluetooth headphones at the same time.

I dont like samsung much. But i would totally miss this on most other phones. This android 15 panel just seems lame in comparison.

  • Samsung just says:

Can't auto update Installed from Google play store. And Can't auto update Installed from Aurora store.

You can easily see from what store an app has been installed in android.

  • battery storage? how long do they last until they loose most capacity.

A lake pump system would make much more sense to store energy. Pump up water into a higher lake when theres too much energy and get it back with turbines, when you need energy.

  • thats ok with me. Wouldnt buy a ios device anyways. Exactly, because they dont allow third party apps.

  • why, when it can actually be helpful? Using chatgpt for searches is already much faster than denying 10 cookie banners. Some more privacy focused AI would be great, if firefox does that.

  • i think windows uses it for updates to make them faster, and many games too

  • Okay. Can we go back to cars not having chips built in them now.
