  • The CEO was very careful to skirt applicable regulatory laws. He even called his passengers "crew members". In the aviation world, I have some experience harmonizing multiple regulatory authorities. Because of "international waters", there will need to be some agreement and harmonizing of regulations. There's already SOLAS so, I think it can be done.

  • United States Federal Aviation Administration, I believe EASA is similar.

  • In the aviation world, an experimental aircraft may not be used for "compensation or hire". The only exception is that a kitplane manufacturer is allowed to give demo flights.

  • Well played drug store stock-person......well played.....

  • I thought that was the Heterosexual Pride Flag? You know, blue for a man, pink for a woman, and white for the purity of God's love between them.

    ;)

  • You have no idea how apropos this is to an argument I'm current embroiled in.

  • As I move between the two options, I think I kind of prefer the "simplicity" of the Lemmy interface as well. I wonder if I should throw my hat in the ring and create a server myself?

  • I've been curious about going "both ways", but never acted upon it... ;)

  • I guess I did follow people on Twitter, I had friends there....then Musk made it weird...

  • I gave Mastodon a look when Twitter started to get all "Musky". I wound up going with Counter.Social in the end.

  • I suspect I will eventually go to just one account. If this "Memmy" app essentially connects the two, that could be a good solution. Do you use your same account for both? I created separate. Here I am on Lemmy

  • I'm kind of agreeing with you....but nothing bad against kbin though.

  • I'm currently trying both out, still deciding.....

  • Having tried both, I think I prefer Lemmy

  • Spray expanding foam would be easiest and you can trim it after the fact for a cleaner look.

  • I know it's a joke but, what's disturbing is that I also know there's probably a market for them....

  • Wound up creating a Lemmy account as well as this one. Still getting accustomed to it but it appears that, instead of relying solely on the mods to manage content, more control is given to the end user. As long as I can easily block trolls and other content I don't care for, I'm good.

On the other hand, where FB is concerned, you just can't make it go away. I'm stuck with that account because of events and messages but looking for work-arounds for both.

  • Golly, who could have imagined that some charismatic sociopath spreading conspiracy theories would feign remorse in court to reduce his sentence?

  • On FB, I generally only post to "Friends" or "Close Friends". Yet, I keep getting these "Suggested for You" posts in my feed. Some are advertisers, many are clearly from bot-farms trying to start arguments. I mean, the Fediverse may have it's bad actors, but not on the coordinated scale that Facebook has.
