This game has you playing as a privately funded grave robber going around stealing the Dead Sea scrolls for the hobby lobby CEO while massacring the natives in the name of eXpLoRaTiOn. It makes sense considering it’s so heavily inspired by NASA for aesthetic and vibe. It’s cool when viewed from a distance but examining the details and thinking critically for a second makes you realize exactly how fucked up and nazi adjacent it all really is
Yep. My wife works in marketing, it’s shockingly cheap to just go out and buy a bunch of content like this. Though I imagine the white house would have a more sophisticated way of getting their PR out there. I’d imagine any way
Honestly this plus "Skyrim-in-space" make me feel pretty confident that this game is going to have staying power just because we know how good the modding community is for bethesda games. Skyrim was panned up front as genre generic fantasy with a pinch of viking magic but has been played continuously for a decade plus because it made for such a good blank slate to add onto. Also I guarantee every current UI issue already has modders working on it. Starfield script extender just dropped and the game hasn't even officially been released
It’s crazy to me that any military doctrine as a base assumption relies on air superiority. How could you ever assume that if facing off against a peer nation? Though I guess with nuclear armament there’s an assumption that you’ll never face off against a peer level natuon
Germany's green energy push was secretly propped up by outsourcing fossil fuel needs to Russian natural gas. The war in Ukraine and America subsequently blowing up the Nordstream 2 pipeline means Germany will need to find new alternatives to feeding their energy needs. One could hope this results in a speed up of green tech development as it becomes more of a pressing necessity than just, you know, the right thing to do. And hey speaking of knowing the right thing to do and then not doing it because of the perverse economic incentives for ignoring it, it's funny to note that the global leader in green tech is China but due to this new cold war the US is brewing and due to Germany's newly-humbled-into role as Jr Junior partner to the US there's no way there will be the necessary cooperation there between national tech sectors
