  • Hadagascar. It doesn’t make sense, but it’s almost logical and fits the pattern better.

  • Is this an album cover for Motionless in White?

  • Everything you said is correct.

The board had no legal power to dismiss a trustee. Calgary has the same problem with Sean Chu (a councillor). Only the minister can fire a trustee. And I don’t think the UCP want to piss off their base. Assuming they don’t agree with her remarks.

The UCP don’t care about protecting kids.

  • You have your own theme music! I’m a little jealous.

  • As an Albertan, I want to stick with CPP. If our government tries this, Calgary and Edmonton might have to separate from Alberta to rejoin Canada.

  • Also, if you are logged in to iCloud and you copy text on your iPhone, you can paste it on your Mac. And vice versa.

  • Do we have a c/UnexpectedFirefly yet?

  • Very well said. All the parties, federally and in Alberta, have failed to build capacity within their party. They all want to focus on the leader because they all want a superstar who can lead them to victory. Otherwise, political campaigns are slow, hard work. But with only one leader, there’s no succession.

Not that it’s the biggest or most urgent problem that we have in politics these days.

  • If liberal MPs are concerned, they should change their leader.

  • You’re right. But I’m worried that it won’t matter. There may be enough socially conservative voters and enough economically-focused voters that together they’ll defeat the liberals, who have very little credibility left, and the NDP who seem to lack broad appeal.

I don’t understand why the Liberal party won’t turf Justin Trudeau. Canadians seem to want change, and changing their leader would have given them a better chance at the polls.

  • I used to use your strategy. It works fine. But since I migrated to Nextcloud on a VPS, I use the next cloud password manager. It keeps a copy of the database stored on my device.

  • There’s more evidence that Bilbo Baggins existed. And Dieter Uchdorf have a general conference talk based on the story of Bilbo, so he seems to agree.

  • Just in case anyone thought the church was about Christ-like love.

  • I have the right to be wrong. My wife disagrees.

  • Isn’t that frustrating? If I had to guess, I’d say that 95% of people are good, decent, helpful, caring human beings. The other 5% fuck up a lot of shit. And it’s probably genetic.

  • The only difference between Mormons and non-Mormons is that there is no difference.

My wife’s reason that the church is good is because it’s so hard to find a group of people anywhere else who are really trying to be good. I am really frustrated that she is blind to the bad behaviour in the church and the good behaviour outside.

  • I don't own these bags, but this is where I would start. Decathlon offers decent quality at decent prices, and it's a good chance to try something out and see if it works for you.

Duffel, 40L, 15"x21", waterproof and can be worn as a backpack: https://www.decathlon.ca/en/p/8383299/hiking-bag-40-l-to-60-l-duffel-500-extend Suitcase, 30L, 13"x20", wheeled and can be carried as a duffel: https://www.decathlon.ca/en/p/8753739/30-l-suitcase-essential-black-grey The traditional 40L backpack might be a bit tight for your purpose at 12.7"x21". https://www.decathlon.ca/en/p/8735937/hiking-backpack-40-l-travel-500-organizer-black

I personally have an Osprey Farpoint that I really like. It's 14"x22" and can be carried as a briefcase or a shoulder bag or a backpack. It's quite a bit pricier.

I think you'll want to make sure that whatever you get is relatively square (given your purpose) and that it opens flat. Let us know what other considerations you have, and what you finally decide to try. Nothing beats taking a few scores to a local store and trying a bag in person.
