  • no. the entire personality of a trump supporter is donald trump. cutting yourself off from them at this point is not about politics as far as I'm concerned. it's about morals. these people have shown, as many as two times, that they are cool and support every thing he does and says. that's a moral issue. and cutting out the people who have the same morality as trump is not a you problem.

  • oh look, the inevitable conclusion of what happens when you crave power for power's sake so much that you sell your soul to appeal only to the true believers that your entire political career is 100% dependent on their votes even though you know they're fucking insane and get ultraviolent at the barest perception of being slighted or inconvenienced.

  • I notice that you conveniently left out the thing that I said at the very end, LIKE THE POD SAVE PEOPLE.

and if you bother to listen to the mtn you'd know that just because they're white and male doesn't make them white male lib bros. there are lots of podcasters out there who are also white and male and liberal absolutely do not act and talk like how they do on crooked media.

  • "the left" doesn't need a dude bro podcast. that market does not exist.

what "the left" needs are more voices that are not mouthpieces for the consultant class or the white male lib bros like the pod save people.

the meidas touch podcast just beat out rogan as the top political podcast. how about more pods like that.

  • the offline gps app that I use and absolutely love I initially pirated for my iphone 3, then for my samsung galaxy vibrant and then actually bought and bought extras. I love this app.

then a few years ago they offered more features that I found useful but put them behind a subscription instead of buying them as a premium option as before and I don't like that. I still get to keep the options I bought, but any future add-ons forces me to subscribe and I'm not doing that.

honestly it might push me to see if it's possible to to pirate an app I already paid for to get any new features I may find useful.

  • it's a message from god that he is displeased with us.

(hey turnabout is fair play. if hurricanes and tornadoes are punishment for gays, porn, and sodomy this earthquake is punishment for electing the antichrist.)

  • domestically you can get a base 2025 chevy ev blazer for around $27k while the ev rebate lasts. 300+ mile range with decent fast charging. I was really looking forward to getting one in the next 2-3 years but then dondi mcshytegibbon got elected and is killing not just the ev tax credit but the grant money to build out a dc fast charging infrastructure too. I might have to look at the plugin hybrid market instead when I really want to go fully electric.

  • that's all fine and dandy. but there's an important question I've only seen one person bring up.

who's going to enforce the order? because this sounds very much like andrew jackson saying after worcester v georgia chief justice john marshall "has his ruling. let him enforce it", and we get the trail if tears.

  • fastest lap outside the top 10 doesn't bother me but what I think this does is eliminate the team orders of stopping someone (for example someone like oh I don't know, perez) who's on a heater stealing the point away from their teammate (like, dunno just pulling a name, verstappen) when the wdc is still being contested.

it's being killed because team orders rules everything in f1 and drivers can't just drive hard (without wrecking the other car).

  • because it's something they have done since 1979 at least. the country's problems aren't the fault of multinational corporations and a completely upside down tax code that overwhelmingly favors the super wealthy.

our problems are the fault of those shifty brown and black people, sponging off government largess, irresponsible, and always looking for a handout. the play hasn't changed. but the playcall has evolved.

blm, crt, woke, dei? it all means the same thing. it's just that they can't use the hard R in public.

    not yet anyway.

  • saving a relative few pennies in the budget that affects the absolute least among us to give away several dollars to the richest among us which totally coincidentally happens to be him.

and these people who cheer this or are totally indifferent to this news claim to follow christ...

  • anyone with a tenth of a percentage of business sense could tell you a business that produces nothing but eyeballs to advertisers will be a massive failure if said business does anything to piss the owners of said eyeballs off.

and experts are confused why traded-on-the-markets social media companies are in freefall.

  • never used it in any practical function. i tested it to see if it was realistic and i found it extremely wanting. as in, it sounded nothing like the prompts i gave it.

the absolutely galling and frightening part is that the tech companies think that this is the next big innovation they should be pursuing and have given up on innovating anyplace else. it was obvious to me when i saw that they all are pushing ai shit on me with everything from keyboards to search results. i only use voice commands to do simple things and it works just about half the time, and ai is built on the back of that which is why i really do not ever use voice commands for anything anymore.

  • do they like getting phone calls to act more oppositional? do they want more phone calls to act more oppositional?

because removed about it is how you get more phone calls to act more oppositional.

and now that the base knows they are getting through, any current elected who is not acting more oppositional is almost guaranteed to get a primary opponent who i assure you is most definitely going to act more oppositional. and primaries are won by the most ideological. being a creature of washington is not going to help those people if they don't get their act together.

this is also not to mention the countless numbers of elected democrats who after biden's debate performance completely fell for the media created narrative and treated joe biden's back not so much like a pincushion but a target fired at by a scattergun at 2 feet. i haven't forgotten and i won't forget.
