J.D. Vance Freaks Out Over the Slightest Pushback in V.P. Debate
  • What are your numbers supposed to mean? From your article:

Prior to the debate, a New York Times/Siena College poll released Sept. 28 found Midwestern voters prefer Walz to Vance: Walz was viewed favorably by 44% of voters and unfavorably by 41%, while Vance was viewed favorably by 42% of voters and unfavorably by 48%.

So 44% like Walz, 42% like Vance. 41% dislike Walz, 48% dislike Vance. Comparing 42 and 41 is comparing two different things

  • YTA, NTA, or ESH?
  • Gandalf arrived in Middle Earth in the year 1000 of the Third Age. So he's been around in that form for about 2000 years since Bilbo's farewell party took place in the 3001st year of the Third Age. The Fellowship was founded in 3018 so Gandalf is about that old if we're only counting his time in Middle Earth like you say

Edit: This is in part why people are upset with the Rings of Power show. If this not-Gandalf character ends up being Gandalf, he'll have arrived in Middle Earth about 3000 years too early. On top of that there are just a lot of other timeline deviations, including the order of the forging of the rings which you would imagine the whole show to be about.

  • *arr metadata frustrations

Does anyone know why there is no option in the Sonarr/Radarr apps to change where metadata is sourced from?

The TVDB is where it is sourced from now, but often this information can be incorrect. For example, Cunk on Earth/Cunk on Britain is listed on the BBC site as one series (Cunk on...) with two seasons. TVDB lists the two as separate series, and TMDB follows the BBC site.

Since Jellyfin uses TMDB metadata, this series and its two seasons are sorted in the same way as on BBC iPlayer, but Sonarr sorts them separately.

In the end it's not really a huge deal, but at the same time it's frustrating that the metadata between the two are not always the same. I really just wish there was an option to change where *arr gets its metadata from.

    Edit: added links to everything
