  • Please, this is the artistic effluence that this form derives its strength from. Note the bold lines and sissonne idiomatic entry of the first panel, into the grande allegre (metaphorically, of course!) of the following two panels. A masterpiece, contrasting the fragile effervesce of military hardware in the last panel with the robust strength of the egos of the politicians in the first.

  • For perspective of others, I will spend $200 on quality shoes, $100 on a good belt, $400 on a kitchen appliance. I tend to shop a bit, both for quality and then price. It helps that the kids are older and don’t break as much any more.

  • As I’ve started growing my wealth I’m able to buy quality things that last, and it’s led to the bizarre feeling that on black friday, I don’t need any of the door buster deals. You’ve probably heard of the Vimes boot theory of wealth, and I’ve seen it play out over time. I even re-sole good boots now.

  • Let them look cool.

Too much time is spent working around the players’ abilities to make a fight challenging. Some fights should look hard but have a player ability break them. Let them use the powers they earned.

This slightly ties to the idea that the game is not the players against the DM, it is the players against the world, while the DM narrates.
