You really have a point here, but I don't think Catholic church is the only one in which these gross events happen, the thing is that being one of the largest religion along with Islam they get the most attention and media coverage around the world. It's just common sense. So yes, there are serious problems in that church, but I bet my ass that they're not the only ones doing that. Take the blindfold from your eyes, every religion has leaders that abuse the power they have upon its followers to commit deplorable acts.
No. Instance is like the full Reddit website, subreddits are communities here that are hosted in those instances. Check this comment, is very illustrative.
No, not normal at all. Being a patient with UC I can tell you that if blood is bright red, it means it comes from either the colon, rectum, or anus being the latter possibly due to hemorrhoids. If stool is very dark, like almost black, the bleeding is most likely from the upper digestive system being the stomach or esophagus possibly the culprits.
Either way, I strongly suggest you go to a doctor and check what's going on. Blood on stools is something serious that needs attention immediately.
Everything sounds very good, but really, quite unlikely to accomplish. If world leaders don't take this seriously, individual ideas are just wishful thinking.
I don't think so. The migration to Lemmy was minuscule. It's still huge, like very huge, but now that I use Lemmy more than Reddit, differences are obvious. Reddit is so massive that it has become a wrestling arena, Lemmy on the other side, is a more quiet place where civilized dialogue is above anything else. It's a matter of tastes, but I feel better here.
The core message is valid but it misses the point of the problem which is that the people who will suffer the most from climate change are people living in poorer countries, not the rich world. The impact, although dramatic and highly undesirable, is manageable in rich world countries.
I agree. But for now, I would add. If everything continues as it is, even the richest economies eventually will fail. He mentions migration a key point to the foreseeable problems to those rich countries.
This moron is trying too hard to kill Twitter (X). I really don't understand how many people are comfortable with his vesianic decisions and keep using the platform as if nothing happens.
Dumb people will exist forever. It's was just a PSA.
