  • One of my favorite baseball players, Shohei Ohtani, has an insane goal listing. He breaks down his goals into seperate steps and individual actions he can take to achieve those elements.

Now he’s an absolute freak and one of the most accomplished humans on the planet but learning about how he thinks is interesting and I think we can all take something from this.

He definitely dreams big! And hasn’t accomplished everything on his goal list.

  • I can’t take someone’s writing seriously if they put a fucking cat emoji in the message. Sure, write how you want - not hating on people - do whatever you want. But if you want people to take you seriously then write in a serious manner.

  • @ChatGPT@lemmings.world

Create an itinerary for the Chicago trip where my flight landing at 3pm on day 1 and I leave at noon on day 4. This is a three night trip. The itinerary must include a visit to the John Hancock center, the river walk, the bean, an architectural tour, and dinner each night. The dinners must include one night for deep dish pizza and another at a famous Chicago steakhouse.

  • Totally. But the reddit discussions will naturally die down and/or be contained in the "reddit sucks" specific subreddits (I think they are called "Communities" on most instances? Sorry - still learning). But either way it's a hot topic right now and, as you said, people are angry, hurt, and want a place to vent. I like that we have that space and can discuss together.

  • Hard disagree. The Reddit situation is a huge news story even for people who aren’t on Reddit.

Also you wouldn’t bring up an ex on a first date because you’re trying to impress the new person. However you would definitely talk about her to friends and family if it was an upsetting situation for you. Reddit was a big part of my life and it fucking sucks what happened To it

  • I have the book and have read most of it. It’s the best meditation guide I’ve ever read.

That said the end of Culadassas life and the struggles he went through jaded me a bit. IT showed me that someone can be the “best” At mediation and still kinda a crappy person. Stated another way - mediation doesn’t make you a good person and even someone who’s “enlightened” can do really bad stuff and hurt others.
