All of the above. The Democrats have a supermajority but zero discipline so they failed to deliver legislation, giving the conservatives the win. Then the legislation languished until it reached a phase where it would have only been able to continue by suspending rules by a vote with Republican support, which obviously didn't happen.

This maintains the shit we're all sick of that Democrats are really trying and working hard and it is just the GOP's fault.

Indiscriminate firebombing of civilians really helps streamline the process. Keep bombing until you have no more targets. Then just start bombing the sea.

We're at least double that for prison population. 664k is closer to jail populations, so short term incarceration and people being held during and before their trial that will them into the prison population.

Prison + jail is something like 2 million.

Fake or not, they too buy the line of "If you vote for us and get us total control you'll get everything you want.' despite there being a precedent of getting the opposite under the current system. They'll say their party just hasn't gotten all or enough of the power yet and that's why there's problems. And those people continue to vote for party because 'that's what you do' in their community.

That's the sort of thing that depresses the electorate: feeling like their vote doean't matter or gets tossed outright. Makes people feel powerless in choosing the occupant of the White House.
