Right now, Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I'm reading it because a couple of friends, a cousin and I do a little bookclub podcast. We do speculative fiction. We take turns picking a book then nerd out about them. This was Will's pick. Last pick was mine, it was the first three books in the Hitch Hikers Guide trilogy.
After this, I'm pretty sure I'm going to re-read The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. Its been dozens of years since the last time I read that.

Yeah. My kids and I play this together. It's a lot of fun. It's not as thinky as some other games but for a quick hour or two, it's a blast.

I don't know what kiwi farm is but free speech is not an inherent right you have. No one that runs or owns anything owes you that. Right to expression is a government thing. If you came to my house and said anything I didn't like, I have zero obligation to let you continue. In fact I could kick you out for saying things I did like. And I could choose to not have someone else leave for saying the same thing.

I finally had to buy a new set in 2021 after 40hrs a week, 50 weeks a year of daily, hard use framing houses. I went to my 10 year to make sure I was right. I was. I haven't gone to any others and don't even get asked.
I think the quote was "that's what high school was, cheating and bad lunches". Or something like that anyway. I never cheated. I don't think I ever got cheated on either. I think in junior and high school a lot of people are figuring themselves out and make a lot of mistakes. But I think if someone is bragging about it as an adult, that's just shitty.

Ha. To be fair, it was a joke gift, and I've only worn it once, to the givers house. I only keep it because every now and then I leave it out when we're going out to tease my wife.
