Ok, so the violent religious reactionaries needed to be dealt with, but with a more nuanced approach. What should it be? What would be faster and gentler, but also effective?

~20 years ago you could still find lots of democrats primarily committed to raising the minimum wage and making it easier to organize unions. Democrats should try that again. They definitely won't.

All this and you somehow missed that the whole point of dekulakization was to fight and eliminate a class of landowners that were ruling Ukraine through antisemitic violence. Were they really that bad? Yes. As soon as they had the opportunity they gleefully waged much of the holocaust. Most Ukrainians fought against them. It wasn't a genocide. It was to stop a genocide. You, yourself, can go read the Yitzkhor books. People wrote extensively about their experiences of life and resistance against the kulaks.

Let's be charitable and assume you're not antisemitic. Instead I'll assume your committing the classic liberal error where you give separate judgment to the means and the end. In this case, you don't like the antisemites, but your uncomfortable with the idea of actually doing what it takes to defeat them. Where does that leave us? How many Jews needed to die while waiting for the kulaks to politely stop using ethnic violence as a tool to enrich themselves?

You probably don't apply the same impossible standards to indigenous and slave resistance in the US. That's because you never worked through the russophobia that liberals are encouraged to apply to all of the former Soviet peoples. There's no rational reason to judge their resistance to the rich any differently.

Stalin led a mass movement that destroyed the rule of the Ukrainian kulaks that had maintained their power and wealth through antisemitic violence, and then did the same thing to the nazis and their collaborators. He's an all time great when it comes to killing rightwingers. Only god knows how many jews, romani, and slavs he saved. Of course, liberals hate him. Maybe Stalin should have whined, written terse letters, and been a good rule follower while millions were murdered in order to enrich a few assholes.

No way! I'm just patient like a stone when it comes to work. If you wait around long enough the right moment for organizing eventually comes around. I think a lot of people are better at moving faster when it comes to their projects. I have to build relationships and trust over years.

Thanks, dirty bird. I had no choice. I had spent too much time telling my kids that you're a piece of shit if your co-workers are organizing a union and you don't stand with them. I had to put my money where my mouth is. My kids said they would still love me even if I got fired so that made it easier.

I didn't know how badly I needed some grass touching. There's gonna be a lot more of it too. I think it's gonna be a lot of work to build a strong union culture. I'm really glad that some of my colleagues had the courage to take the first steps, because it doesn't always go so well (I know that the hard way).

Also nothing bad happened in other countries during the 1930s no one died in America during the great depression. People dying is totally cool if it's market directed
