Physically: I like my feet 😂 They don’t seem to age and don’t fluctuate with my weight. And they get me in lots of places!
Personality trait: I like to learn new things. I hope I get to have this until I die.
Yeah, I don’t wash my knives and pans/pots in the dishwasher, only plates, glasses, cutlery. But yes, that could be an option for whoever usually washes everything in there. In that case, the advice is to get everything in the dishwasher the moment you finish using it.
Wash dishes and utensils while cooking. This way, ar the end, you don’t have a big pile of stuff to clean.
Ah, yes! I think that was the reason. Thanks!
:)) It was a French who mentioned it. I thought there was a reason beyond just preference. Even so, people can prefer whatever they want. There are so many types of keyboards. Slimbook offers a lot of layouts. If someone wants one without the numpad, maybe should write an email snd maybe they can get it. I recently ordered a laptop from there snd I had a lot of back snd forth in the emails with them, because I needed their advice to decide. They are very helpful.
I also want the numpads. I read somewhere that if you have a French keyboard, it is a must to have it. I don’t remember why.
As RepleteLocum said, yes, some business casual. They can be as comfy as a jogging pants, but look better. I don’t know if you are a man or a woman, if you are a man, there are trousers that have a sobre cur, but are made of cotton or a blend, or even wool for winter. If you are a woman, similar trousers can be found, with a cut made for women. As a woman, what I use a lot is a comfy dress with leggings underneath, thinner cotton when warmer, thermo leggins in winter.
It’s so cute! I am always fascinated with the artists that work digitally. I tried it a little, but I find it quite difficult and not natural for me at all. It involves too much of the brain. I rather throw paint on the canvas and let my hands guide me. How many hours do you put into a finished drawing?
I don’t wear jeans( too cold in winter, too warm in summer), but I know many people do. So thank you for the post!
Stay strong and united! I agree that many more people know English than Latin.
Well, my everyday creative outlet is cooking. Today I just summed up ingredients to make some Chinese style noodles with some veggies, Spanish jamón, sesame paste, lots of sauces and spices. My husband was thrilled. I had a migraine, so for me it was more just stopping the hunger.
But cooking is the easiest way for me to be creative in any state I am in. To paint, sew or other things, I need a good rested body and good mood.
Thank you! 😊
Yes, I agree it could be used for the good, but I just don’t trust us humans to do just good and not be blinded by the profits. Just look at nuclear technology. You can use it for creating energy, or you can create bombs and arms. We are a fucked up species, and I just don’t trust us. There are so many dumb people in positions of power, there is no more natural selection in the world. I don’t mean a physical one, like in the animal kingdom(I would not be here probably). I mean dumb people survive, mostly. And they thrive!
The website of the Ministry of Agriculture advocating GMO-free agriculture recalls that two genetically modified plants have so far been approved for cultivation in the EU: the genetically modified maize MON810 and the genetically modified potato Amflora
They mention MON810, with a quick search I found that that belongs to Monsanto.
My personal opinion is that these GMO varieties becoming the majority on the market at some point, will just make food production be in the hands of few big companies. And that will reduce the variety of products grown, lack of heirloom seeds that are adapted to the local conditions, that will probably require more fertiliser and pesticides/herbicides, and probably less nutritional value.
Just take modern wheat, it does not have to be GMO, but the hybridisation that was done was to get a variety that is cheaper(produces more per hectare, removes the step of getting rid of the outer shell, it grows shorter, so it is more sturdy and does not get knocked down by wind), and for better baking properties, i.e. more gluten. But all this with the disadvantages compared to ancient wheat varieties like einkorn, emmer, khorasan, etc. Those do not need extra input, they can grow in poor soils and conditions, they have more minerals, vitamins and protein, they are easier to digest, they taste better.
Yes, you don’t get the puffed up bread to impress your followers on instagram, but is it what we need? I bake often with ancient grains and they satiate you more than modern wheat. So you can eat less of it.
The same goes with tomatoes, I rather eat the heirloom varieties, that eat the cardboard tomato that look pretty and it lasts a month in transport.
And all these patents do not come free to use for everyone. So you are excluding small growers from using plants that were patented by some big corporation. I found and article here where they talk about the problems about patenting:
However, in many cases, the scope of NGT patents is not limited to the genetically engineered plants. For example, a patent (EP3560330) was granted to Kleinwanzlebener Saatzucht (KWS) for maize with higher digestibility. The trait was identified in naturally existing plants and then ‚re-invented‘ with CRISPR/Cas.
The patent covers both the plants obtained from targeted mutagenesis (NGT) and from random mutagenesis (conventional breeding).7 Patents covering plants obtained from random mutagenesis, which frequently also include claims on the selection of traits by using natural gene variants, give the patent holder comprehensive, exclusive rights to control biological resources needed for conventional breeding.
I rather not have the food production in the hands of a few corporations. Especially these days where oligarchy is at its peak.
I also don’t support GM crops. And the chemicals that these crops come with. I’ve seen some documentaries on the Monsanto shady practices..so thanks, but no thanks.
I think so, when I am ill. My sweat might smell different, or my breath. But I am not that superhuman. But there are some bad people smell that kind of repeat themselves. But I did not investigate these things. I know animals can detect some illnesses, maybe through smell.
The sense of smell also affects the taste. I can taste a lot of ingredients in an unknown dish. I also cook very well, maybe because of that. When I got Covid and the sense of smell went for a while, food tasted like nothing. It was kind of horrible to have to eat. I would focus on textures and spiciness.
I have a very powerful sense of smell. I can tell who slept in my bed if I know that person well. It happened to me once in a college dorm, where a roommate slept in my bed while I was home for the weekend.
I can smell tobacco from far away too. Before anyone notices it.
I know if the cake in the oven is ready, by the smell it sends inti the living room, which has a dining room and a hallway in between.
Unfortunately, I can also smell bad smells very powerfully.
I have this too! I was never wrong when somebody looked like an ok person, but I just did not like them. I can read a lot from people’s non verbal communication. And I see a lot of things before them being officially revealed. I learned to trust my instinct.
I’m sleeping much better lately and I think my hormone levels are getting better.
