  • I mean their goal is to crash the US economy. They want to weaken USAs position as a global super power and Trump thinks hes making it so his buddies can hoover up everything on the cheap once he crashes the economy.

  • They want people to "follow the rules", but see the "rules" change every day, depending on what mood the rulers are in. It also depends on the color of your skin to them, if its not white, you're always breaking the "rules" no matter what.

  • I know, i understand that BlueSky isn't "true federation", but i still agree with some of what they're doing. As long as they're getting people off Twitter and off places like reddit, regardless of if they have bad intentions for BlueSky eventually, they're doing some good.

  • They want angry, uneducated constituents who are focused on something ethereal, that makes them more angry, like the manufactured "culture war". Rather then constituents who are calm and locked in on something they collectively want solved, like trans rights.

  • I was finally looking to take the plunge away from corporate social medias. I was already using BlueSky as my Twitter/X replacement, and one thing stuck with me that they were doing: Federation. That seemed cool, and look! There is a Reddit replacement that does this "federation" thing. Lemm.ee seemed to line up with my general principles (Im a leftist so i don't want any lefty communities or instances defeded) and i like talking with the community at large, so here i am :D

I've also recommended it to all my friends who enjoy BlueSky and are sick of reddit kowtowing to billionaires interests. Sorry/you're welcome for some of the user rush the last couple of days haha
