  • Gosh, I hope so.

59,5M$ for all this mess, saying they failed to manage the app is the least insulting thing they could've said.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have done a better job.

  • It would surely give the company way more exposure than sticking to AMD only. Their entry level cards (Challenger series) do not feel entry level at all so they could compete with Zotac and Gigabyte for cheap, reliable gaming GPUs.

My two latest builds have been using ASRock's MoBos and GPUs and I have yet to encounter a single problem with them.

  • You're right. Perhaps I based my view on the gaming time I had daily before and after having kids.

I consider myself lucky to play 20-30mins a night and that is if the kids behave at bedtime, hence why I said casual. It's the kind of game that I will never progress in as it requires a lot of playtime.

  • I can't wait to just skip that game completely. As more stuff is revealed and as we approach the release date of Feb 16th, the more I believe the game will be a massive letdown.

In this current article is discussed the slow respawn rate of necessary items for in-game progression and people queuing to get them. REALLY rewarding for casual players (<30mins playtime per day).

  • Funny price tag from a company that recently told its player base that owning games is becoming obsolete.

  • worse OS

Not necessarily worse, it depends how you see it.

Windows lets me run my PC Gamepass for Xbox as well as Steam, retro console emulators, Python IDE etc, out of the box.

However, it doesn't let me suspend games and it sure is more taxing on the hardware to run.

As I'm not exclusively playing on Steam, the ROG is perfect for my needs.

  • Being a heavy user of the original Nintendo Gameboy and of Sega's Game Gear, I'm thrilled to see handhelds making a huge comeback. I own the ASUS ROG Ally and it's sooooo pleasant to use.

  • We can still shout it.

Gimme an R! Gimme an S! Gimme a Rock. And. Stone!

  • I'm not scared this card will run 1440p at all since my 6600 XT does it considerably well. Just don't expect to reach 120/144hz while maxing out the graphics on any recent big releases.

This gen's sweet spot for performance relative to cost is still the RX 7800 XT, unless the 7700 XT gets a massive price cut.

  • I hope so too but the fact that he and Dube are both out at the same time seems kinda suspicious.

Let's see how it goes, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

  • Don't forget gutting the French immersion programs as well.

  • If you need a nVidia card, I agree, prices are through the roof and they need to be lowered.

If you only need it for gaming, 700$ CAD for the 7800XT 16GB is pretty much the sweet spot for performance/price.

  • Where are you from if you don't mind answering? From a fellow French-Canadian, from New-Brunswick.

Edit, nevermind, saw the communities you were also in et qu'on ce soit déjà jasé sur !newbrunswick.

  • Not surprised to see ASRock this high in the rankings. I didn't know the brand five years ago but following the recommendation from my local computer shop, I gave it a try.

My last two builds are ASRock based (mobo and GPU) and I'll keep it that way for as long as ASRock remains in business.

  • I'd add to the list : Devs and publishers doubling down on releasing shitty PC ports that lead enthusiasts thinking that a 24GB VRAM GPU is the standard.

  • Entry-level? I use a Ryzen 5 5600G coupled with a RX6600XT and I play most of my games at 1440p/120fps no problem. For heavier titles, it hovers around 70-90fps.

A Ryzen 7 5700 would be more than entry-level though. Low-cost on an well-capable gaming AMD build? Hell yes.

  • Unbelievable how Jacques Martin is somehow still relevant today as a head coach. You look over your shoulder, he's there, lurking in the shadows, waiting for his next stint in the NHL.

  • Not living in QC either but I swear the voters will enable another 4 years of this CAQ nonsense (not that we're better with Higgs at the helm here).

The closest polling political party is the Parti Québécois, whose platform is based around Quebec forming its own country. The younger generations are mostly left-leaning on the political compass but almost no one wants the province to leave Canada.

Then, the third highest polling party, Québec Solidaire, is left-leaning as well but way more socialist than the PQ. They're often called the "left-extremists."

Bottom line, they're stuck with the CAQ for a fucking while.

  • Interesting.

I loved playing Dead Cells, I will surely get this one once it's out.

However, another website that spells rogue as rouge. Being a French-Canadian, I always read rougelike as "similar to the color red".
