Oh, that's strange! I used to hate that Spanish (my first language) had all these extra additions to the base Latin alphabet as a kid and thought English looked more elegant for that reason. So for someone to actively want that feels strange.
I mean, now I know better having learned a bit of linguistics, but it's still trippy for someone like me coming from the other side having grown up with these preconceived ideas.
I really like the alternative spelling, though. I think it could be useful for teaching English pronunciation.
I don't think they've done something exactly like this, but they have aggressively tackled obesity in recent years, going as far as labeling all foods with excess fats, salt, and sugar. It's very visible on the package and it does influence what I buy.
But this is the way I found out we're doing this now. 😅

Hmm, I don't think so. This is what a rule 1 ban looks like. Return2Ozma has a years-long history of breaking the rules, getting his stuff removed, and repeatedly offending despite the warnings. The ban from .world does not look like that. If anything, you could criticize the other instances a lot more for automating their bans. But, you know, if you have the actual text he was banned for, I'd love to read it.
And Bill Gates, probably. I have a feeling that was a reason for Melinda to split because she has never given a straightforward answer. It was just, "Oh, we're splitting for reasons."
That reminds me of the time where some young adults broke into an abandoned building downtown and were so unbothered to hide themselves drinking out on the broken window sills with their legs out. Like, ok, I guess at least you're not drinking in public which is illegal? xD
