Welcome to Costco Starbucks. I love you.
It would probably be less expensive to design a completely new one from the ground up whose interior looks identical to the Qatari jet, rather than retrofit the offered one. But either way it wouldn’t be ready for years…
They’ll also gladly accept whatever spin the GOP puts on it to blame the Democrats for the cuts, no matter how patently absurd it is.
It likely also has the best always-on one-way communication link to Qatar that money can buy.
It’s state-by-state in the US. Some states allow it if just one person wants to record a call. The others require both/all people to know and approve. The fun part is when somebody in a one-party state calls somebody in a two-party state…
The problem is all the existing IoT devices etc that haven’t pre-planned for this. It’s a safe bet a lot of consumer devices with embedded systems haven’t planned for this and likely don’t have user friendly upgrade paths.
Being a unibody design, even a small fender bender can be extremely costly for a Tesla. An accident that merely dents a fender in a traditional SUV could deform the frame of a Tesla. Replacing a fender is trivial, a frame not so much.
My immediate first thought was the new US embassy being built in then-Soviet Moscow in the 80’s. Since we were foolish enough to contract with the Soviets for pretty much all the construction work it ended up with literally hundreds of listening devices built into it.
I’m sure this airplane is similarly compromised.
Ok dad
The real concern for computers is the Year 2038 problem.
I’m a huge fan of the original Mission Impossible TV series from the 60’s and 70’s. I’ve watched the entire series a few times now. I can’t stand what Cruise did to the franchise, especially since he basically plays the same thrill seeking character in all his recent movies.
Maybe he meant June of 2031?
Depends on the airplane. My brother used to fly a stunt plane. It was designed such that he had to wear a parachute just to sit in it properly. If the engine quit, it had the glide characteristics of a rock…
Oh, deals will eventually materialize. Just not the deals Trump hoped for. Sooner or later after the US economy is wrecked he’ll have to back peddle, and all those foreign country suppliers will have him over a proverbial barrel.
My understanding is that they’ve loaded the datacenter with far more than the local utility can provide power for. So they’re reportedly running a number of generators 24/7 to provide enough electricity.
He doesn’t want to go to Mars himself. He wants to get all the undesirables to go there.
