  • It's the other way round! A penis is more a derivative of a clit. That's why that line along the balls exists: everything started out closer to a vulva, and that line is where the proto labia fused.

  • Yeah, I've also encountered some weird snobs who said they loved it, almost certainly because they thought they were supposed to. You probably understand better what's special about it than those who pretend to just find it enjoyable from a modern point of view. To summarize what I think: it's a stellar, incredible picture, it's just not all that entertaining because its inventions have since been further developed and we have more enjoyable stuff now.

  • Citizen Kane is so celebrated because of how revolutionary it was and how much it influenced pretty much every movie made after, with then-novel techniques in things like cinematography and non linear story telling. Just tons of stuff that had never been done before. Of course if you compare it to later films it won't be all that remarkable. Everything it did first is now everywhere and we kinda take it for granted.

  • Both vegans who don't support leftism and leftists who don't support veganism where possible are a bit of a head scratcher to me. Youre pro equality and against suffering, but only if the suffering party thinks, communicates and/or looks a certain way? I don't get it.

  • Honestly, this is the argument to make. Almost every human is selfish when it comes to a strangers convenience or theirs. Make the argument that it'll be more convenient to drive with bikes out of the way, and that sidewalks will be safer (almost everyone walks every once in a while). I've convinced people this way, but never with explaining the safety, let alone city livability or environmental reasons.

  • Ok, so, first off, fuck the abuser. She deserves every punishment for her vile inhuman behaviour. But her womanhood is not in question. Those are two entirely separate subjects. One is: abuse is outrageous and needs to be prevented, called out, punished. The other is: trans identities are not conditional. You can't decide who gets to be gendered correctly and who doesn't because then you're taking the right to decide other people's gender identity and/or whose identity is valid and whose isn't. You don't have that right, and nor should you. This isn't about the abuser. If you decide one trans identity is up for debate, all trans identities are.

Signed, a trans abuse survivor, if it matters.

  • This is how I'm finding out that public transport without a schedule exists. Or do you mean, it's so frequently so off schedule that the schedule might as well not exist? I recently learned that German rail officially says their schedule is just supposed to be a rough informatory guideline and not an actual schedule, for example

  • Meds or non meds?

  • If you have access to a decent psych, they should be able to work with you at that. Like, figure out whether meds are right for you and which ones to try after a certain one doesn't work for you, effect or side-effect wise.
