I lost four sets of Joycon to drift. I even sent two in to be "repaired". Talking to support was worthless - I'm convinced that the people I spoke to had never seen or used a Switch before. I don't think they did anything other than calibrate them and send them back. I ended up buying a 20 pair of knockoff Joycon that have worked perfectly ever since.
I like the concept. I actually actively avoid gaming forums as much as I can because they seem to all become one of two things: either completely overrun by people who hate the game and can't shut up about it, even though they don't play it anymore, or completely overrun by people who claim to hate the game and can't shut up about how much they hate it, even though they have thousands of hours in it and play it like it's a full time job.
That's what I did. I made a couple trips there on my laptop and subscribed to shit tons of communities all at once, and of course they them show up on your phone. I don't know for the life of me why someone doownvoted you. It's the best, most efficient way to do it outside of using another app.
Online reviews have notoriously been heavily gamed bullshit for years. I don't know why anyone would think that movie reviews are somehow spared from the fakes/manipulation.
I keep coming back to imagining if Reddit and Twitter were integrated. It just sounds like a giant mess. I guess I'm just not sure what the benefit would be, or why anyone would want it. What's the actual use case that makes it desirable?
Tiktok doesn't have shorts from all my favorite channels though. Shorts is obviously supposed be YouTube's "answer" to Tiktok, but it's a different vibe, IMHO. I've tried to get into Tiktok and it just doesn't do it for me.
IMHO, I think they just need to add a toggle for shorts so that people can opt out (or in, whichever).
I enjoy YouTube Shorts a great deal. It could definitely be easier to curate your feed than it is, but I have a great deal of intractable pain at all times, and I like the fluffy format. It's easy to digest and understand and move on to the next one when my attention span is completely destroyed by the constant intense pain. Sometimes it's the only thing that gets me through the day.
Thank you!
