Yeah, I enjoyed my watch of LOTR: ROP. I'm a big Tolkien fan too. I read the trilogy and hobbit once a year and the silmarillion once every three or four (it's dense af). ROP wasn't an accurate adaptation, but it's a fun fan fic that I felt was respectful to original material. Plus it has some awesome visuals and great sound track. There's definitely things to criticize about it. It's far from a perfect show, but it's not bad. I'll probably do another watch through when the next season gets closer to being released.

WOT though, it hurt my heart...

Hopefully millennials and following generations will be able to start moving the pendulum back towards workers.

My guess is that it's just an equation of energy input and time spent. Is it worth removing the problem comments if they keep coming back? How much time as a mod are you willing to spend removing and banning people like that? I can understand taking the approach they did. Personally, I think maybe just locking the thread would've been a better compromise. But I'm not a mod here nor would I want to be lol

More power to you I guess, I think our brains just work differently on this subject. I used TweetDelete and nuked my entire account a few months back. I was going to let it just sit there with no activity but then he did another stupid thing (I forget which thing) so I wanted my content completely off the platform.

With games these days I just feel it's a better deal. There's stability patches, generally more content that's added post-launch, and a sale price making it cheaper. I don't understand buying games at launch when it's not a primarily multiplayer game. Multiplayer makes sense since there's the server population you have to consider. But Souls? Armored Core? Most RPGs? The multiplayer/coop is generally an afterthought, so I can wait until the deal ripens haha

Yeah, I was playing armored core back before From Soft got their recognition with the Souls series and so I'm really excited we're getting this series back. But now, with all the lessons learned from the Souls series! I'm sure it will be great, it's just I'm a patient gamer so will still likely wait until a sale 😂

Go look at the midterms we just had, it was historic. The GOP was supposed to gain way more seats based on previous trends but Gen Z came out in droves and denied them that. There hasn't been a midterm like that in half a century. That's why the GOP are saying things like this, they're scared because in 2024 even more Gen Z will be eligible to vote.

Everyone make sure you do what you can to vote, it's crucial.

It's not coming back, it never left. We're seeing them get more aggressive because they know that the newer generation isn't buying into the ideology as much as previous generations and so their ideals are going to die with them unless they use systemic tools to enforce it.

I just don't like Kbins interface tbh, I have an account there but it goes unused. Not saying it's a worse platform or anything, just not my personal preference.

I can't wait until you can block entire instances at a user level in the web interface because defederating from lemmygrad and hexbear takes care of 99% of the pro authoritarian shit.

Oregon! That's cool to learn that Colorado is set up the same way. I wish it was implemented on a national scale though.
