After Supreme Court immunity ruling, Biden draws sharp contrast with Trump on obeying rule of law
  • Damn it, democrats. Quit being little bitches. For 30 years ive watched you roll over or play nice and its gotten us screwed over. Have the 5 or 6 Supreme Court justices who decided this hung for treason. Show a country that's sick of corruption. Politicians used to be afraid of the stick. America quit carrying one decades ago.

  • Supreme Court ruling shields presidents on official acts
  • I know what early dementia looks like. I've watched it happen to more than one of my close family members. Be as left leaning as you want to be, but don't bury your head in the sand over something as obvious as night and day. Neither one of those guys should be running the country. Not in their best years, and sure as hell not now.

  • In the US, did Amazon kill the mall, is everyone too broke, or a combination of other factors?
  • Combinations. Amazon, smart phones, how kids hang out, poverty, giant stores like target and wal mart..It's a bunch of reasons that all hit against malls.

Malls haven't been the only hit over the decades. "Cruisin" is no longer a thing. Teens used to spend hours on nice nights driving up and down a certain stretch of road in nearly every city somewhere.

More kids used to ride bikes around for funnies.

Drive in movie theaters used to be huge.

Things always change and it's almost never just a single reason.

  • Sex work would probably be less stigmatized in a currencyless society
  • The stigma with sex work is that you're having sex with someone because you want paid, and otherwise wouldn't be having sex with that person.

If there was no need for money or an exchange for goods and you wanted to have sex with a bunch of different people, we already have that in today's society. It's a tinder user.

  • Sex work would probably be less stigmatized in a currencyless society
  • And making porn is stigmatized. That's why 99% of the porn made "just for fun" is intended to never see the light of day by anyone but the people making it.

Really, I'm not directly sure what your argument/belief/whatever is here in this post.

If there's no exchange or barter, then there's no sex work. The stigma behind sex work is that you're selling your body to someone for a price tag, and if you weren't getting paid you otherwise wouldn't be doing it with that particular person. In other words, if you aren't getting compensation out of it, you're just like anyone else with a tinder account.

  • Live your best life
  • Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Cabbage, and Brussels sprouts all evolved from the same plant species: The Wild Mustard Plant. Farmers in different areas just chose to selectively breed different portions of the same plant. Broccoli was bred from choosing large buds and large stems. Cauliflower was just the flower bud. Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, and kale were all leaves from different portions of the plant.

So albino broccoli is really a pretty close description.

  • Apple is working to make iPhone 16 battery removal easier to comply with EU regulations
  • Third 0arty batteries have been easy to come by for any phone. The problem is that no third party sells ones that aren't complete shit. It's not the spec. It's that no good plant will make them and they bar the original plant from making extras to sell on their own. It shouldn't be borderline impossible for me to get an oem battery for my note 20 ultra.

  • CNN's debate was no fair fight
  • Biden could straight up choose and endorse someone. Even if it wasn't Harris, which would look kind of shitty, but the DNC isn't completely stupid. They'd fully back whoever they decide that Bidens endorsement (see what I did there?) would be. It's too late to let the dnc campaign and come up with a popular vote. It isn't too late for a presidential endorsement to work.

1TB OLED left touch pad has issues clicking down.

Just curious if anyone else has had issues with their track pads on the OLED models.

My left side touch pad doesn't "depress" down at all in the middle, and requires much more force around the sides to depress down and "click". If you go by the haptic pressure measurement, the right side will click at around 3,000 anywhere on the pad,, but the left side takes about 10,000 around the edges and never does in the middle.
