Thanks for saying this a lot nicer than I could. To add to this, the ‘just do therapy and schedules and reminders and and and and’ people hate to hear it, but sometimes all that works is the drugs.
I live in the US and there have been horrible shortages of many of the most effective drugs for ADHD (amphetamines and its variations). My spouse spent nearly 2 fucking years without the medication he’d been stable on for years and it was a nightmare. He was trying SO hard to keep on top of things, have a good sleep schedule, and there was just no way he could do it. Like, borderline suicidally depressed about having his ability to be functional taken away. After his pharmacy started getting shipments of his old medication in again, it was like a switch flipped.
You don’t get like that because you’re a lazy dumbass who won’t get their shit together, and people are way too casual about ignoring that ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder.
When a reusable pad is full you just put a fresh one on, wash the dirty one, and let it dry on its own. If you’re out you just put it in a plastic baggie for washing when you get back home. Putting a wet one down your pants would be horrible, haha
I’ve heard two pops and that’s about it… I think most people in LA (at least my area) are still a little too traumatized by the fires to want to play around with fireworks. They’re doing drone shows in a lot of areas now.
Yeah, straight/heterosexual people didn’t want to be called that, either. They want being cis and heterosexual to just be “normal” and any variation to be abnormal. Fuck that, they’ll do the same thing to whatever euphemism you pick instead.
Definitely possible, it’s just a little too consistent for me to think it’s all people meeting their hero and nobody just trying to do their job and getting treated poorly.
I’d gone years without being too wigged out about it until now, eugh. Probably doesn’t help that I recently read a body horror novel.
Rabbit hole: It didn’t occur to me before now that the supernormal stimulus aspect of genai also applies to things that trigger phobias or strong disgust reactions (for the people who want to be pedants about the word trypophobia). I wonder if people with spider phobias rate AI images as scarier than real images of spiders?
I’ve seen elderly people in my community riding around and doing their shopping on these a few times, they always seem very pleased with it. It has to beat dragging around one of those foldable shopping carts, for sure!
