I can agree with the community sentiment. Feels like we skimmed off the top layer of nerds from Reddit and they’re all ornery while trying to adapt to their new environment. I say that as one of them, lol.
I get that this is a relatively new frontier, but jeezaloo there are a lot of negative nellies around. “It’s the internet, block/ignore them” yadda yadda, sure, but it just feels like a more sizable amount of people who would close stackoverflow threads as “duplicate” and link to a thread that doesn’t answer the original poster’s question, ya feel me? Like, those kinds of Redditors.
I get that “remember the human” is an old, cringey netiquette, but I wish more folks on here would take that to heart. Hard to sell Lemmy as a viable alternative when folks treat people like they’re beneath them.
Nah, nah, I’m not saying that the text was AI image generated in any way. I just suspect that the image (after the text was put in place by a human) was fed through some enhancer/upscaler. I remember seeing a comic a while ago that reeked of AI, but it turns out that it was a fully human-made comic fed through some AI cartoon enhancer (for… some reason? The original looked fine. Maybe to steal credit?).
I do doubt that any of what I described is the case, though. I feel like the text would look less crisp if so.
I do wholeheartedly believe the icons were generated separately still.
Alright, is there some super-populated center for enthusiast nerds who make Androids less 1984 and shit? Like, the fdroid sub or something? I’m still on the ol’ Tim Cooker but when this thing croaks I’m switching teams. I don’t need Google getting sloppy seconds, though.
I mean, feels like everyone has a phone these days. Surely some niche sect of Internet nerds has a cutting edge solution for this shit.
Is it just GrapheneOS with FDroid apps? What about Google Play Store apps, can I use those without getting fucked? Can I retain nearly every stock feature on an Android without selling my soul to Google? Which Android phone should I buy if I want things to run smoothly with the modifications I need to make? (Are those new touch flip-phones on the menu? Are they more durable now? I fantasize about DS emulation, and slapping my phone together to hang up on people. I just remember hearing all about the highly scratch-able screens and hinge problems.)
See?! This shit is what I mean. Did Arby’s CEO do something to piss off some Hollywood big-wig?! Why is this shit so prevalent?!?? It’s normal fast food, man!!
You’re on Lemmy, so everyone and their mother is going to scream “Why are you using Reddit?!”
Instead, I’ll scream “Why are you using New Reddit?!”
New Reddit, along with generally sucking ass, hates automatically expanding comments. Old Reddit less so.
Hell, I’d wager a chunk of those Userscripts are for old Reddit, too.
Change any www.reddit.com url to old.reddit.com and enjoy the old non-sucky UI, complete with comment threads that aren’t automatically collapsed after one reply.
You can make Reddit automatically change to the old design via a user script, extension, or account setting. I’ll leave that exercise for the reader, though.
dude FUCK all this Arby’s slander online and on TV, man. That Family guy skit, every “vagina burger” post, y’all are just raking Arby’s through the coals for the hell of it, arent’cha?
They have good sandwiches, man!! Ever had a smokehouse brisket? Those things are pretty good! French Swiss? Even better, is you ask me. And the shakes, the SHAKES! Good shit.
AND instead of doing that annoying “start shit with other companies for fun” schtick every brand Twitter account did, they make food art of various franchises! It’s cool shit!
The rustic, warm theming of the restaurants themselves, too. It’s just a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal with friends on a road trip. You’ll dare your friend to chug a triple pepper sauce packet raw or some shit. It’s nice.
Fuck all of you for slandering Arby’s. We are not friends.
I feel like people have gotten Stockholm syndrome from phones with new generations every year.
Current hardware still works fine. If you have frame troubles, lower settings and mess with your battery/performance profiles.
Do not solve the problem by offering to give companies another 500 of your dollars.
(If you’re playing your Deck at home and have a beefy PC, though, you can always stream from your PC to your deck for better performance! On most networks, there’s virtually 0 latency! Highly recommend.)
