  • I think news stories or any media is one of the most effective things, but it has to be a sympathetic news story. Holding up business of Ratheon - good news story; holding people in their cars on the freeway - bad news story.

What do you think is an effective protest?

  • I am just saying what would be effective and what would make people hostile to their cause. If they set up a line of people in front of one of the weapons manufacturing locations, I think that would be an example of an effective protest.

  • Firstly, getting food is different than literally being imprisoned in your car. Secondly, they could go to a different place and these people are actively attacking them not being victims of their protest.

  • There are something like 1.4 billion catholics in the world there is going to be all kinds of examples for you to call it a "systemic issue" when there is literally no part of the system that encourages this. If you actually cared you would look at schools which have a much higher number of molested kids. And no government schools is about them being government run not some kind of public run thing.

I love how you guys just cant not think about trump for one moment. Rent free.

  • That is a long wiki page, you will need to point to the part you are referring to.

If you want to point to institutions with pedo problem, then you should look at government schools which have much more than churches. But I think this is more about ragging on religious institutions than actually understanding what is happening.

  • I am guessing that we are talking about the catholic church, and I could be wrong because I dont know about their rules, but I dont believe they would have rule not severely punishing or sending to police pedos. I would guess they catagorized it as someone who broke a rule, not committed a crime.

  • I think what it is are they are friends and their friends promise to never do it again and they dont want to ruin their lives. It is a universal thing and not just a religous thing but we news stories about what is supposed to be a safe place sell more papers.

  • It does make sense that God would be allowed to break rules, its kind of like how a parent doesnt have the same rules as their kids. And no on in a church is allowed to be a pedo, if that happens that is seem by very bad by all the people.
