  • You can get a DA if your actions lead to your children not reproducing, but generally DAs are not awarded if you kill someone else.

So if his kids die in a Russian trench before reproducing, he would be eligible for a DA. A this time I'd give him a Honorable Mention at most.

Edit : Their sons from different marriages opted to stay behind in the US. This would be a HM at best.

  • I went to a Dr for the first time in 3 years to have my shoulder looked at. Spent about an hour at the place, and saw the Dr for maybe 5 minutes. I ended up getting prescribed maximum daily dose of acetaminophen, and some steroids (cheap garden variety). All in it cost me 167 dollars, which was within my deductible, so after a month, I finally got a bill for the full amount. The 200 bucks a month for my insurance and it didn't cover shit (my employer pays most of it, but my contribution is still like 240 dollars a year).

Health insurance in the US is a racket.

  • Having a favorite politician is weird, like having a favorite landlord. You should care about the policies and efficacy of your politician, and not really give a fuck beyond that, unless they are a rapist, serial drunk driver, or something like that.

  • Good time to mention my wife had State Farm when she was run off the road. We had the guy on dashcam with clear as day video of his face, and license plate. State Farm couldn't find the driver or the car, and said that we should just pay to have the wheels repaired (got curbed hard during the incident). The "repairs" were the same amount as the deductible. Then one of their reps let slip that they not only knew who the guy was, and who owned the car, but that he was covered with their insurance. So SF was pretending not to find they guy so they wouldn't have to pay our deductible... Shady as fuck.

  • HP Elite x2 1012 G1. Has an Intel Core M5 processor.

Frankly. I was expecting to spend hours getting this thing in a useable state, but Mint had everything working on a clean install except for the the volume button on the tablet itself and the function buttons on the KB. Honestly very impressed. If I did a clean windows install I would be pulling drivers from HP and installing them for about an hour to get this level of functionality.

I figure a quick script or something that turns on the On Screen KB when the physical KB isn't detected is possible, and that I can manually config the volume buttons and keyboard shortcuts. Then this tablet will have all its features working.
