  • All that said. I look fuckin' good right now. I'm blued the fuck out.

  • Dyed my jeans, some underwear, and a raycon undershirt tonight with some royal blue dye. The jeans were already lightened a little with bleach so now they're kind of a golf pant blue, if literally anyone can understand what I mean by that. The stitching didn't get dyed so the bright gold/brown against the blue looks pretty nice to me. Underwear got a little darker than I wanted. I should have pulled them earlier but they were bleach-stained anyway so maybe it's better this way since the bleach stain's almost totally invisible (I deep-clean the house in my underwear usually). The undershirt didn't dye that evenly because it balled up pretty hard and I kept trying to unball it but I guess I didn't do it well enough. It's OK since it's just a light tie-dye affect on the back and it's an undershirt. Trying to diversify the colours of underwear/undershirts I have to match my outer-clothes a bit more. Also as a man I can't really think of many ways to diversify my clothes that isn't like: colours, patterns, maaaaaybe some bracelets or a necklace (not keen), and I don't know what else. When I was more skinny and scene I'd have a bandana sometimes, but no idea if I looked good or not.

Gunna' try to hem another pair of jeans I have that are way too long because I'm all torso and short in the leg. Zora-esque, perhaps.

  • I began to explain I mostly collect for Playstation and Sega consoles, as those were the systems I had the most interest in.

I don't remember the exact response, but the tone of his voice suggested he was unimpressed with my choice of the first two Ratchet & Clank games. "The real money was in Atlus games. Have you heard of Persona?" Despite answering "yes", he proceeded to give a surface level explanation of it to me as if I said nothing at all.

As the man continued to yap at me, my guard started to lower and the realization of what I was dealing with struck me to core. What stood before me was a Type of Guy(tm) that those of us who collect and play retro games have heard stories of but have never personally seen. Like a serial killer that was never caught and walks amoung us.
    . . .
When I see Nintendo Quest, I see that same Kind of Guy: the vapid collector with too much time and money on his hands, scooping up games not for play but to keep in their suburban dungeons for years until they're ripe enough again to resell. I see a bunch of nerds who want respect but deserve nothing but contempt.

  • Locked the megathread on one of my posts once again. I see what you're doin' mods.

  • He ended up selling the collection to some private collector in the US that was only doing it because it's for charity and it was his money that amounts to the donation to the Canadian Alzheimer's charity which they didn't actually say how much they gave or have any confirmation or anything like a big cheque sequence or anything. It's so fucking stupid.

  • Spent 7 hours watching this manchild buy N64 games "for charity."

  • Not sure what's going on here. They've had 3 drones follow them that they suspect was done by Greece on behalf of Israel. Israel says they won't let them dock in Gaza as well.

Meanwhile, the FFC reported that a drone initially approached and circled the ship south of Crete, Greece, on Wednesday night, with two additional drones joining shortly afterwards.

“These actions raise serious concerns about whether Greece and/or the European Union is conducting surveillance on behalf of Israel,” it said in a statement.

Also read that they plan yo get to Gaza by June 7th.

  • Here's the transcript from what I can make out. They're speaking in coded language, I believe.

LEMMY: SHY GUY, this is LEMMY. Do you read? Over.
SHY GUY: Yeah, I read. Over.
LEMMY: Is the race still planned (?, or banned) for tomorrow? Over.
SHY GUY: Yeah, LEMMY, everything's still happening. Over.
LEMMY: Good. Good. I'm the road -- rainbow road currently -- carrying the blue shell for the race. Over.
SHY GUY: I'll show 'em (?, or maybe that'll troll them). Hope they drop more than a few coins (?) because of it. Over.
LEMMY: Well, (couple words I can't make out). Over.
SHY GUY: Yeah, leave luck to (word I can't make out, sounds like what Lemmy just said) Over and out.

  • Cowardly just means bad to normies and propagandists. Not gunna' link it, but I think there was a clip of Bill Maher saying the 9/11 attackers weren't being cowardly and arguing with someone over that.

  • If the Japanese game got retranslated or a different script there's a chance of that happening, but they're not going to do anything special for the English release and include 2 scripts with it, I don't think. Fan mod could happen I guess.

  • Dude bought 10 games twice by accident in the first couple days or something. Come on, dude.

  • Jesus. I think that's cheaper in North America. The top rare/expensive games they showed was rental store exclusives and some of the good but underappreciated games like the Goemon games, Snowboard Kids 2, Harvest Moon, Ogre Battle, etc. No Kirby 64 as far as I saw.

  • "I was so excited to see that many N64 games that I forgot to look at the prices"
-guy making a documentary on buying N64 games

  • The had a cloth covering the case of N64 games in the local game store so they could do a little reveal for the N64 games. That was kinda' lame. It's spending more time talking about the games though than the NES one at least.

Just visually hanging over the shoulder of a guy buying retro games is so fucking lame.

  • The main guy looks exactly like a dude I know online. He's also wearing a black and lavender plaid shirt with the Star Wars Imperial logo on one of the chest pockets.

  • Starts off mentioning the dissolution of the USSR within like 2 minutes. So now I'm upset. Also, like half of the talking head interviews are at seemingly one convention, which also is kinda' cheap and lame.
