  • Watched it off a friend's recommendation as well not knowing anything about it. Skipped a holiday event to binge my way through it. Everything was just so good - animation, voice cast, storyline, historical details.. Absolutely love that the creators did not water down for a safer audience and just fully committed to the story.

  • I think the 2020 election and the pandemic are largely to blame for some spiraling plummets in our feelings about our system as a whole. Both of these events caused some pretty large divides in our government, communities, and even family and friend units.

War and human suffering were already there. Corporate greed and late-stage capitalism effects were already there, as well. We're all just critically assessing everything together at this point because some of those divides removed a security net of reliability and trust.

  • I agree with you on this one. There's public sentiment and then there's market reality. The hard truth is that most people have a need for a practical flight route within a certain window and there's limited choices. Delta, United, etc. only have so many aircraft servicing so many routes and they already bought the aircraft and have to use them. While I'd personally like to avoid the 737 MAX, if it's the only feasible choice, then that's the one I gotta roll the dice on. I guess I'll avoid window seats if possible.

  • I don't see the 737 Max being taken off the market even with these options and rebranding wont help as airlines will still list the new model which will be publicly announced by Boeing. So what's the market adjustment going to be? Cheaper fare? I can honestly see people surging to buy a seat on this deathcraft if prices fall enough. It'll be like choosing between organic and pesticide-riddled.

  • Had a couple of rabbits as pets and almost never had this problem. I was always tooling around in the produce shelf looking for a treat for them. Made me more aware of produce that was expiring.

Caveat: If you do have a rabbit or are thinking of getting one, stay informed on what they can eat and how much. Learned from their vet that too much calcium-rich produce was not good for their urinary tract. Fruit and carrots were bad for their teeth and should be given sparingly.

  • I'm having a similar peaceful Sunday morning.

I have young nieces and nephews that I visit every now and then. There is no morning decompression allowed when I visit. Not even a minute on my phone to check the day's events. As soon as I'm awake they're on me like crows. They've been told not to wake visitors, so instead they hover over me and wait and watch my eyelids while I feign sleep. It's a literal battle of wills that can go on for over an hour until one of us caves in.

I can't wait to give them shit for it when they get older.

  • I think there's a certain power dynamic that comes with looking and acting older. If you look the same age or younger than your kids, that power dynamic is most likely going to slowly shift. It'd be like if you're in your 40s working for a guy who looks like he's in his 20s. While possible, I imagine it'd be a challenging arrangement. Not to mention how your kids would feel about your decision as a parent to take an age reversal pill.

  • Childhood indoctrination is a big part of it. I have been told by my 8-year old niece that she'd like to save me from drowning in a lake of fire. She was genuinely scared for me. It's literal child abuse followed by Stockholm syndrome.
