  • Follow the law. Maduro is required to provide the official vote tallies. Until he does that, he cannot claim any credible victory. Venezuela has some of the most secure and fraud-proof voting systems in the world. He can't fake the results...so he's simply refusing to release them. That alone invalidates his claim on the presidency.

It's unfortunate that as long as he has the support of the military, there isn't much anyone can do to remove him from office....but at the very least, no one should be entertaining the fiction that he just won an election that only took place because he has refused to legally certify the last one.

  • Lol! In Germany you have multiple parties all running against each other. In this particular election in Venezuela...there was only one party running. And they still only got 34% support.

This whole election was a scam...and illegal under Venezuelan law. They already had an election. They lost. They just don't want to admit it, so they're just going to keep having new I es u til they get the results they want. In this case, they ran all by themselves...and no one else showed up.

So, sure...pretend it's all "foreign interference" for the cameras. No one is actually buying that bullshit anymore. Even Venezuela's allies can no longer support Maduro's fake government.

  • Ok, so you really didn't understand what I was writing, if that's your take-away, but whatever.

I'll just leave this here, so that we all can acknowledge who's actually threatening to use nuclear weapons against their enemies. I could provide dozens more links to interviews and articles coming out of Russia to add weight to that point, but I doubt it would have any impact in your opinion, seeing as how you didn't really read my prior comments anyway.

  • That's not actually true. The very idea that Democrats are even left-of-center as it is, is completely disingenuous. It's a fiction created by the US media's intentional misrepresentation of policy. The majority of Americans want left-wing economic policies.

They also don't care as much about culture war issues, as the media likes to make it appear. That is mostly a right-wing driven idea, while everyone left of that would simply rather focus on more practical concerns, without infringing on anyone's rights. But that doesn't mean they want politicians to abandon minority issues altogether. They just don't agree that it should be such a hot-button topic. Catering to the kinds of narratives pushed by right-wing media, is not what the majority of Americans want from their politicians.

If Democrats want to start winning again, they need to start focusing on working-class issues. That means a hard shift to the left on economic policy. Trump and the Republicans have already figured this out, even if their rhetoric is total bullshit...they know what people want to hear, and they're saying it. What Democrats need to do, is walk that kind of talk for real. That means reaching out to the actual majority of voters...not just the ones with the most money...and deliver real policy changes that will improve regular people's lives.
