  • Well at least you had an opportunity to discuss your views, if you want to REALLY punish yourself when it comes to economic theory you should check r/askeconomics. This is a real neoliberal echo chamber. I remember when I was a baby leftist and wanted to check what they had to say about MMT and they just resorted to using the same debunked mainstream economic arguments.

  • He died, but his particles will live forever

  • Tbh I would like Lego more if it wasn't for the prices. Some of my friends still like Lego. Great mech btw

  • There goes the argument that Ukraine is not a puppet of the USA

  • US is so cooked, people there think that DEI is super radical communism, while in reality it's nothing more than some liberal program

  • I think this short essay was the first thing that appeared in monthly review

  • The destruction of Twitter would be the biggest defeat of nazism since WW2

  • Few years later we will be seeing Mélenchon crown himself as an emperor

  • I think what's more fitting for her is an account that promotes uyghur genocide news, as in the show she protests in favor of "Free TIbet". But she would definitely be a very annoying lib too. In one episode she literally becomes a Hillary-like female president to show how PROGRESSIVE murica has become

  • Tbh what I hate in Simpsons is that Lisa is shown as a very progressive person, while she is just a chauvinistic liberal lol

  • Stalin/Mao forced poor women to go to school and get educated, rather than make babies

  • Happy new year

  • Losurdo is peak - that's the book that actually got me into reading more about Stalin. Malcolm X is probably very good too, but I don't really know about John Reed.

  • Nice, you interested in numismatics?

  • Tbh to me the most common "western socialists" beliefs are:

    • recognize Cuba is a socialist state, doesn't do the same for DPRK, Vietnam and China
    • Marx, Engels, Lenin (sometimes), Che Guevara good, Stalin and Mao bad
    • "not true socialism"
    • idealizes failed revolutions like german revolution
    • against "totalitarianism" and "authoritarianism"
  • Lots of things you described are similar in my country, my parents at least have a bit of decency and don't talk about their politics all the time. I'm still very sorry for your situation and I hope it will get better

One question, do Romanians actually recognize their own participation in the holocaust?

  • I am very sorry for your dad. My parents praised Uganda's and Russia's policies towards LGBT people, so I kinda relate
