174 particle in 27 coral soles doesn't seem like much. How could those account for the missing plastic in all the oceans?
Someone can calculate the amount of plastic dumped into the ocean, how many microplastic particles those would release over a time period , then from that calculate how many corals would be necessary to sequester 70% thereof. I have a feeling there aren't enough coral in the world to do so...
