Is this a good enough excuse to push iodized salt? Yes it is.
If you're the kind of person who is only using kosher, himalayan, or any other fancy salts, you should really include an iodized variant in your home as well. You only need a small pinch of it per day. Companies started including iodine in their salt for good reason - people were dying of iodine deficiency. Iodine is not easy to get naturally from food, especially if you live in a northern region.
But because there was a fad for those other fancy salts, we're seeing a resurgence of iodine deficiencies and hypothyroidism. Do not skip on the stuff, it's an essential nutrient!
And bonus points for blood pressure health if you opt for potassium-based salt substitutes.
- Specially important for people on a plant based diet, as most good sources of iodine in food are from animals (eggs, liver, milk, seafood). So using iodine salt is a very simple alternative.

The other one in this episode about Jimmy not using the cash register because he could do the math in his head could have a similar response. Typically POS machines log what is sold for inventorying and stuff.

i know it's funny out of context, but i get the feeling theres people who have seen this meme and agree that jimmy neutron is a prick, and i just have to point out that A. jimmy is a child, B. its a comedy show, and C. the scene is showing how the manager dude doesnt understand jimmy at all and is showing how Jimmy isnt fitting in at the burger joint despite his best efforts
- Absolutely. He's not a prick. He's an annoying little shit and there is a big difference between the two. One is within his control. The other is just because he's too earnest and smart for his own good. Something you've gotta more tolerate than anything else because playing that down and making him feel like shit is just going to end up having him turn into a fat gay man who posts too many memes and has no life wait what was I saying?

And as all my chemistry classes taught: if there's a common name for something just use that. "Table salt" is completely acceptable as a term. As is "Vinegar" and "Water". When the exact source/concentration/purity begins to matter is when you can use your fancy terms.
