If it makes you feel better, arms shipments to other countries remain the property of the US DoD and cannot be sold by the receiving party. Whatever India sent to Russia, it didn't come from the US military.
Can't it be used to "replace" the arms? US ships to India so India can ship to Russia without losing?
Pretty sure India is mostly selling Russia's old arms back to them. The new stuff should probably be interpreted as an attempt to build a counterbalance to China in the region (as in deliberate, longstanding US defense policy).
India is selling classic weapons to Russia. They are buying Reaper drones from America (likely to bomb Kashmir with)
The interesting part here is the price. India is making the 4Billion they spent on American weapons back by selling weapons to Russia.
As India is in BRICS they might not be the most effective counter to China.
