You put Into Darkness above '09? Madness.
22 1 ReplyMy perspective is that at least Into Darkness has a message? Kind of? '09 felt like Star Trek: Mountain Dew. Don't get me wrong though I don't feel either is worth defending and I put one second total into deciding the Kelvinverse order.
6 0 ReplyBeyond and 09 weren’t good, but I think Into Darkness was quite significantly worse. It was probably the single least creative movie I’ve ever seen, though I guess some other Abrams movies come close.
8 0 ReplyI will not die on this hill. If you say it's worse I believe you because I'll never watch any of them again.

I watched the first JJ Star Trek movie. It was basically one long Kirk brawl and then they made him captain. It was pathetic.2 0 Reply
Can we all agree to refer to 09 as Star Trek: Mountain Dew, from now on?
I love the film, but it's a fair nickname.

Generations above First Contact is a hot take, too
5 0 ReplyI have a soft spot for it. It's weird in a good way! No shade at First Contact tho.
4 0 ReplyGenerations gave us Data's lifeforms song, which is certainly a positive in my book.
6 0 ReplyThere's also: "Yes it is REVOLTING!"
"More?"

It's got Kirk and Picard, which is a movie that should exist even if the execution wasn't ideal.
5 0 ReplyAnd the cinematography is always eye catching.
2 0 ReplySome of the best in the entire franchise!
