Silicon Valley capitalist Marc Andreessen has released a manifesto that decries efforts to restrain the genius of tech billionaires. Drawing heavily from Nietzsche and Hayek, it’s the same old right-wing elitism in new packaging.

  • It's Randian Objectivist nonsense, mixed with bigotry, eugenics, and elitist avarice.

These sick fucks truly believe "I got rich, which means I'm a genius, therefore I should have the right to remake society in my own image. Clearly since I'm a billionaire I've earned that right." You can see it also in the natalist bullshit that so many tech bros have adopted: they use a veneer of "birth rates are dropping, how will we care for society with so few people?!" when they couldn't less care about society as a whole. They want a society run solely by rich white men, and think they can breed everyone else out (or just overwhelm society with their own children to create their own majorities) to make it happen. Which is funny when they also spout contradictory (and wildly incorrect) bullshit about over-popluation and how earth can't handle what we're throwing at it, so we need to move to Mars so we have enough room. Moving to another planet is a great opportunity for them to create indentured servants, a slave class, and to setup their own dictatorships where they get to decide who is allowed to be part of their society.
